Our rehearsals for the Christmas Concert start on Thursday September 6th 2018. New members are always welcome.

This competition is open to 11 to 18 year olds that are Grade 5 level at their instrument. There is a £200 prize towards their musical development for the winner and an opportunity to perform at an Alcester Singers concert. The Alcester Singers Young Musician Competition. Entries should be made no later than 8^th November using the forms available on the website. Open to all to come and enjoy hearing talented local young musicians perform, £3 a ticket.

The choir will be performing the Christmas Cantata by Geoffrey Bush with soprano Katie Leaver taking the soloist role. The programme will also include traditional Christmas carols and festive songs! The perfect start to your Christmas season.

An opportunity to hear beautiful works by Mozart and Haydn in the wonderful setting of the parish church. Superb professional soloists will accompany the choir in performances of the Nelson Mass by Haydn and the Mozart Requiem.

An opportunity to hear the fabulous Messiah by Handel in the wonderful setting of Alcester's parish church. Superb professional soloists will accompany the choir in the performance of extracts from this amazing piece of music, featuring the Hallelujah chorus.

Alcester Singers will perform Britten's Ceremony of Carols accompanied by a harp and Katie Leaver singing soprano solo. A selection of other carols and festive songs also to be performed. Tickets £10, under 14's free. Please email events@alcestersingers.co.uk for further information.

The choir will perform the Mozart Requiem with four professional soloists, and Haydn's Te Deum in C.

Alcester Singers Christmas concert: the choir will perform O Come, Emanuel a work composed by Alan Bullard in 2013. This is a advent celebration which includes readings and some familiar tunes. There will also be a selection of festive songs and carols performed which the audience are invited to join the choir in singing too.

Alcester Singers are joined by four professional soloists to perform Handel's Messiah accompanied by organ and trumpet. Tickets £15 available from Humphries Shoes, High Street, Alcester (cash only) or on the door. Under 14's free of charge.

Following our summer break rehearsals restart on 7th September, we welcome new singers to come along and give it a try. No auditions, just come and sing!

The choir are delighted to be holding their Young Musicians competition this year after a three year break. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend an evening listening to talented local young people performing and is open to all to come along. The competition has a new venue this year at St Benedict's Sixth Form centre.

Our Christmas Concert will be an opportunity to enjoy some wonderful Christmas music performed by the choir along side professional soloists soprano Katie Leaver and baritone Paul Mocroft, including In Terra Pax by Finzi. There will also be familiar seasonal favourites and the opportunity to sing along with well know Christmas carols. The concert starts at 4pm, a perfect start to the Christmas season.

The choir will be joined by soprano soloist Katie Leaver and baritone soloist Paul Mocroft as well as a string quintet and Colin Druce on the organ to perform a programme that has been planned to reflect that 2024 is the 100th anniversary of the death of both Gabriel Faure and Charles Villiers Stanford.

Our spring concert will feature the Vivaldi Gloria and the Eternal Light Requiem by Howard Goodall. The choir will be joined by three professional soloists and a small instrumental ensemble.

Rehearsals restart following our summer break, new members welcome to join the choir for a free trial as we begin preparing for our December concert. Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 7:30-9pm.

Join us for our afternoon Christmas Concert at St Nicholas church, featuring Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Vaughan Williams and the 1st Movement of the Magnificat by Taylor Scott Davis. The choir will also perform a selection of Christmas carols and will be joined by baritone soloist Paul Mocroft. Mince pies will be available during the interval.

Rehearsals resume following the Christmas break, working towards our next concert in April. New members welcome to come along.

Our Spring concert is a performance of British composer John Rutter’s Requiem and Magnificat works. The choir will be joined by soprano soloist Katie Leaver for this concert.

The choir begins its summer term rehearsals, we met up until and including 25th June when we put on a short performance to family & friends to round off our 2025/26 season.
